KARACHI, June 25: Two men, including a private security guard, were wounded when armed men opened fire on the office of a private television news channel on Business Recorder Road on Monday, officials said.

They said two men on a motorbike stopped outside the Recorder House that housed the offices of daily Business Recorder and Aaj TV and one of them got off the two-wheeler, fired multiple shots and rode away.

“The firing left security guard Naseebullah and another worker of the organisation,  Jawad, wounded,” said an official at the Soldier Bazaar police station. “The wounded were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. The identity of the attackers and their motive for the attack on the offices of the media outlet are still not clear.”
